Calvados Toffee Apple Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • Plain flour 150 g
  • Caster sugar 50 g
  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  • 1 egg
  • Milk 100 ml
  • Butter 80 g
  • Green apples 150 g
  • Calvados 50 ml
  • Vanilla paste 1 tablespoon
  • Dark muscovado sugar 50 g
  • Ice-cream 100 g

Cooking Instructions

  1. In the mixing bowl add 150 g of plain flour and 50 g of caster sugar. Then, add 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Give that a good mix.
  2. Next, add 1 egg, 100 ml of milk and 50 ml of melted butter. Add a pinch of salt, then, mix.
  3. For Calvados apples, get your pan nice and hot. Add 50 g of butter and 150 g of green apples. Cook until apples are nicely colored, than add 50 ml of Calvados. Next, add 1 tablespoon of vanilla paste and 50 g of dark muscovado sugar. Add 100 ml of double cream. Give that a good mix and cook until light brown.
  4. For the pancakes, heat the pan, add 30 g of butter. Spoon the batter into the pan. Cook the pancakes until nicely colored.
  5. Serve the pancakes with Calvados toffee apples and with a ball of ice-cream. What to cook for Halloween? These pancakes would be great as Halloween recipe, just add some strawberry or raspberry jam on top. Cook this recipe with a photo!
