Chilli Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breasts 500 g
  • Cornstarch 6 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch 6 tablespoons
  • Dark soy sauce 2 tablespoons
  • Spring onion 50 g
  • Chilli oil 2-3 tablespoons
  • 3 green chillies
  • Chilli paste 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Chicken stock 300 ml
  • Olive oil
  • Pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. This is an old favorite Chinese recipe and this recipe will become your favorite. Like any Chinese recipe, this is going to be prepared in no time. Firstly, chop 500 g of boneless chicken breast to small bite-sized pieces.
  2. Then, prepare the batter for it. Take a bowl and put 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 tablespoons of crushed garlic and 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce. Add 30 ml of water. Give that a good mix.
  3. Once your batter is mixed together really well, add your chicken. Be sure that the chicken is covered with the batter really well.
  4. Get your pan nice and hot and add olive oil. Be sure that the chicken is covered with the oil. Fry until the chicken is nicely colored. Then, drain on the paper towel.
  5. Next, finely cut 50 g of string onion and place it into the large wok with 2-3 tablespoons of chilli oil.
  6. Then, add 3 chillies sliced horizontally. Next, add 1 tablespoon of crushed garlic and 2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce.
  7. Next, add 1 tablespoon of chilli paste and 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Then, add 300 ml of hot chicken stock, followed by a teaspoon of black pepper.
  8. On this stage, add all the chicken into the wok pan. Add 3 teaspoons of cornstarch.
  9. Serve your Chinese chilli chicken in the deep bowl.
