Ingredients:
- Red wine 700 ml
- Cardamom 20 g
- Cloves 10 g
- 2 stars of anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 stick of lemongrass
- Demerara sugar 1 tablespoon
- Ginger 20 g
Cooking Instructions:
- Mulled wine is a real Christmas classic, but in this recipe we will give it a modern 21st century twist.
- First, pour the whole bottle of red wine into the pan and gently heat.
- Then, we will basically prepare an aromatic teabag. Take a piece of muslin cloth, then, double it up. On the cloth put 20 g of cardamom pods, 10 g of cloves. Then, add 2 stars of anise and a cinnamon stick. Next, cut 1 stick of lemongrass and add to the aromatic mixture. Once all the aromatic spices are on the cloth, folds it in and tie tightly. Put it into wine.
- Then, add zest of one orange and cut in 6 parts whole orange and also add it into the pan.
- Then, add a tablespoon of Demerara sugar and 20 g of ginger.
- Next, heat the wine gently for 3-4 minutes to infuse all the fantastic flavors. But do not let it boil.
